Therapy for Adults
If you feel emotionally stressed, it can be helpful to work through it with support. Our psychotherapists will find out what particular psychotherapy and treatment you can benefit from and outline the steps of a therapy.
What happens during the first interview?
In a non-binding initial consultation, you have the opportunity to give us an overview of your complaints and concerns. This enables us to better assess what we can offer you. You can also contact us with your questions and we will discuss organizational aspects. In the initial interview you also have the opportunity to find out whether you feel comfortable with us.
What's next?
If you choose a treatment, the next step will be a detailed psychological diagnostics. For this we use scientifically sound interviews and questionnaires. This procedure enables a reliable diagnosis. In addition, we agree individual therapeutic goals and make steps towards them transparent. Then the treatment can begin.
What does the treatment look like?
The course of treatment is as individual as the goals of the people who come to us. An average course of therapy is outlined below:
At the beginning, we find out together how the symptoms probably have developed and why they remain. Then the starting point is where the most success is expected - this can include finding relief options and regaining the joy of everyday activities. Gradually, complex topics are included, such as dealing with relationship difficulties, conflicts at work or strengthening your self-esteem. Most of the changes occur especially between sessions in which you implement the attitudes and strategies you have developed.
In cooperation with the doctors you trust, you can clarify whether an accompanying medicinal treatment could be useful at your request. Accompanying or exclusive group psychotherapy is also possible.
If you have achieved your therapy goals, the success will be consolidated so that you can maintain your newly acquired quality of life in the long term.
